FILM INN: Networking and round table at IFF ELBE DOCK (DE)

20. 5. 2024

This networking activity is linked to the German part of the ELBE DOCK IFF. The main aim of this activity is to connect emerging producers from the V4 region and other V4 filmmakers with their German colleagues. One of the weaknesses in the development of V4 short film production is the disconnection from the key western neighbour. There is a large number of thematically, creatively and proximity successful projects that have no co-production or creative links to the V4 countries, which in contrast is the case for countries typically from Western Europe. This inspiring meeting within the industry programme will take place on September 7 in Dresden. In an informal setting, V4 producers, V4 screenwriters, German producers and German screenwriters will present their projects and individual needs for co-productions or other connections to each other in a guided pitching session. The second part of the activity will also be a public meeting with representatives of audiovisual funds at state and non-state level. This meeting will define examples of good practice in each country to support short film production. And thanks to the German-Visegrad context, the possibilities for cooperation between the main drivers of entire national cinemas will also be further expanded.
