BOO to present Audience Testing for children’s films and series
How can creators involve young audiences right from the development phase of a film or series? As part of this year's BOO industry programme, we will introduce Audience Testing – a structured testing format for audiovisual projects targeting specific age groups.
Audience Testing helps verify aspects such as story comprehension, character appeal, the suitability of the visual style, and target age appropriateness. Creators can work with a finished film, an episode in progress, a script, visual concepts, music, or other elements of an upcoming project.
At BOO, we will share insights from the initial testing of the upcoming animated miniseries Mold (Plíseň), directed by Philipp Kastner and produced by Karolína Davidová (13ka) and Tereza Havlová (BATCH film). We will focus on the process of working with children's groups, the format of the output provided to the production team, and the potential applications of Audience Testing across various stages of development and production.
Details regarding the programme, guest speakers, and dates will be announced alongside this year’s full industry programme lineup.
