An elementary school sports day gets out of hand. A harmless argument between two children ends in death threats between the two fathers. The collective overload shakes an entire society and unfolds into a microcosm of chaos. Cause and effect of violence echo in a fragile social construct. A distant view of the everyday.
Sinan Taner grew up in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Film from Zurich University of the Arts in 2024. During his studies, he specialized in directing and editing. His graduation film 1:10 has been selected for the renowned 47th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, as well as several major festivals such as the 31st Palm Springs International ShortFest, the 42nd Busan International Short Film Festival, and the 44th Istanbul International Film Festival. The film was nominated by European Film Promotion and the 59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as one of ten European graduation films for the talent program Future Frames.
