Hugo does not see his visit to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone as a pilgrimage. Wandering through the radioactive ruins is just an opportunity for the young tourist to feed his Instagram account. During his absurd chase, however, he discovers inhabitants he had no idea existed. An atmospheric French-Czech animated short by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Bruno Collet.

Bruno Collet, born in 1965 in Saint-Brieuc, France, got his Art Degree from The Fine Arts of Rennes in 1990. From 1993, he worked as a set designer on numerous productions in stop-motion before starting, in 2001, his career as an author-director. His short film Memorable (2019), won the French César Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
