As flight 7836 reaches cruising speed above the Atlantic Ocean, the pilot, co-pilot and flight attendant are startled by an unexpected knock at the door! Chaos and confusion ensue as the crew enter a long and meandering debate regarding the stranger’s fate: should they open the door, or not?

Marjorie Caup, trained in drawing and a graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, Marjorie discovered video art early on and quickly specialized in animation. After two years at the La Poudrière film school where she directed Petit Maître and Transhumance (her graduation film) she immersed herself in exploring traditional techniques. Following the meeting with Olivier Héraud, they teamed up to create Carcassonne-Acapulco in 2025, a stop-motion short film produced by 12//24 Films. Drawing on their highly complementary skills, they found in stop motion the perfect playground for their creativity and imagination. This inaugural project marks the beginning of a collaboration brimming with promise.

Olivier Héraud studied film at university before training as an actor at the Cours Florent. He soon turned to writing and directing short films, earning multiple awards. His creativity led him to the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight in 2010, where he was invited to serve on the short film jury. He went on to tackle a wide range of projects, collaborating with various brands and honing a style marked by poetry and humor—sometimes absurd, sometimes biting. In 2023, he founded his own production company and, alongside his brother, created THE END (Fragments Artificiels de l’Espèce Humaine), an offbeat feature selected by prestigious festivals such as Premiers Plans d’Angers, the PÖFF in Tallinn, and the Étrange Festival in Paris. Following their meeting, Marjorie and Olivier teamed up to create Carcassonne-Acapulco in 2025, a stop-motion short film produced by 12//24 Films.
