Cinemini – open lesson

Cinemini is a globally unique film education project for children aged 3 to 6. It combines short, unconventionally conceived films with specially developed activities that stimulate children’s imagination and enhance their film-watching experience. In a fun way, we help children discover the world of film and audiovisual media, whilst developing their creativity, critical thinking and a positive relationship with film from a very young age.

Under the guidance of an experienced lecturer, we screen several short films from different eras, cultures and genres for the children. After each film, the lecturer engages the children in a discussion about their impressions, feelings and thoughts evoked by the film, and encourages them to interact with one another. Creativity and a deeper engagement with the film come to the fore through activities such as drawing, craft-making or movement, specially designed for each film, which enable the children not only to understand the film better, but above all to fully experience it.
