A Barbie film of a different kind. Student Oscar winner Daria Kashcheeva once again dissects dysfunctional family ties. The 10th birthday celebration, clad in pastel colours, seems perfectly innocent, yet it is the neuralgic point of a crushing trauma. Strawberries, whipped cream, dolls, her crazy mother and first make-up that covers much more than child’s innocence. But someone is missing.
