Free the Chickens
A rescue mission to free chickens from a factory farm goes radically wrong, and a group of four activists is forced to escape into the wilderness to experience a series of borderline situations and ethical dilemmas that lead to new insights, such as that nature is not a safe place for animals.
Matúš Vizár is a celebrated animator, visual artist, and illustrator who works for a Slovak journal, Denník N. He honed his craft at the Animation Department of FAMU in Prague. His graduate film, Pandas, premiered at the 66th Cannes Film Festival in the Cinéfondation section. His talent has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his nominations for several prestigious awards, including the Magnesia Award for Best Student Film at the Czech Lion Awards in 2013 and the Slovak National Award Sun in a Net in the Best Animated Film category in 2014.
