Happily Ever After
One winter evening in 1995, Carole leaves her abusive husband and three children behind. Many years later, her daughter returns to family memories, home videos and stories from those closest to her, trying to understand what drove her mother to leave. A deeply personal documentary about family memory, violence and ideas of love that often have little in common with fairy-tale happy endings.
