Every day, Joëlle meets her retired friends on the sun-drenched Bain des Dames’s beach in Marseille. Like in an open-air theater, they spend their days laughing, talking about love, sex, aging bodies, and remaking the world with the freedom of those who have nothing left to prove. If you don’t like it, look away!

Margaux Fournier, originally from Marseille, draws on her Mediterranean roots to shape her creative vision. After studying at Sciences Po Lille and La Fémis, she set out to make her first short, If You Don’t Like It, Look Away. Shot in her hometown, the film offers an intimate dive into the world of a group of seventy-year-olds from Marseille.
