An animated dark comedy about humankind’s eternal desire to love and be loved. Through a series of loosely connected, tender and absurd scenes, Please follows people searching for closeness and acceptance. Their stories overlap and reappear, gradually forming a portrait of shared longing for connection.

The film was screened at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026 and the Toronto International Film Festival 2026. The film has its Czech premiere at BOO 2026.

Anna Mantzaris a director and stop motion filmmaker. Her works have received over 100 international awards, including an Emmy Award, an Annie Award and a European Animation Award. In addition to her filmmaking, she directs commissions for clients such as Apple and Greenpeace. Anna has an MA in animation from the Royal College of Art and was part of the animation team on Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs.
