Skin on Skin
In an industrial slaughterhouse in Germany, Jakob works as a security guard while Boris from Bosnia slaughters pigs. Amidst the cold brutality of their surroundings, the two men form a quiet, unspoken bond, united by a shared longing for freedom. When Jakob helps Boris retrieve his confiscated passport, they find themselves caught in a dangerous spiral of power and helplessness, forcing them to confront fateful choices that will change their lives forever.
Born in the Black Forest, South Germany. Simon Schneckenburger graduated in Fiction Directing from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. The first short film during his studies Borzaya was screened at festivals all over the world and got shortlisted for the Student Academy Awards. His graduation film Skin on Skin was nominated for the German Short Film Award and has won multiple awards at festivals worldwide, including winning the Future Frames section at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Currently, Simon is developing his first feature film.
