Udo Kier, a famous German actor, keeps dying throughout his acting career. Within 54 years, he has thus appeared in more than 70 scenes of expressive dying. He screams, falls to the ground, is gunned down, cut into pieces, blown up, crushed by a dinosaur or commits suicide by winding up his own intestines on a film projector. All of these possible death scenarios come together in Staging Death, creating a complex chronicle of on-screen passing.
