Tiddler
Tiddler, the tale of a little fish with a big imagination. Every day he creates a new story to entertain his classmates, and especially his best friend Johnny Dory. One morning, while dreaming up his latest story, Tiddler gets lost in the middle of the ocean. He has no hope of getting home until he hears a familiar story and is saved by his own storytelling.
Alex Bain is a director and digital artist, born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. With a strong background in 3D animation, he is a well-rounded artist specializing in layout, texturing, and shading. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Triggerfish Studios to work on the Oscar nominated Revolting Rhymes. In 2019, Alex took on his first leadership role on The Snail and the Whale. The following year, he progressed into art direction for Triggerfish Studios' feature film Seal Team, later bringing those skills to the second season of Pip and Posy. With over eight years in the animation industry, Alex is now making his directorial debut with Tiddler.
Andy Martin has been creating character-driven animations infused with humour and musical sensibility since 2001. After graduating from Ravensbourne in 2001, Andy Martin began working at Addiction, creating music-based videos, commercials, and branding projects. For over 15 years, he has served as a commercials director at Passion Pictures. Andy's animations have been screened at festivals around the world, winning the Children’s Jury Award at the Encounters Festival and earning a shortlist spot for the McLaren Award for Best New British Animation at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. In recent years, Andy Martin has been developing various long-form projects with Big Fat Studio and Baby Cow. This led to a collaboration with Magic Light on the BBC animated special Tiddler.
