Weathered

Stringed along by frameworks of an outside world that remains difficult to grasp, Weathered follows a life-sized puppet struggling to keep pace with the rhythm imposed on them. As the world around them moves faster and faster, they begin to lose their footing and search for a rhythm of their own. An experimental animation about pressure, disconnection and the need to move at one’s own pace.

Jáchym Bouzek and Karina Casañas Invernon are an artist duo bridging traditional and digital forms of storytelling. Both visual artists, Karina is Venezuelan-American and Jáchym comes from the Czech Republic; our different backgrounds bring new perspectives to our work. We met during our studies at the University of the Arts London, and have continued to collaborate ever since.
