Audiovisual Connect LAB

Audiovisual Connect LAB is a European project focused on strengthening film literacy among young people aged 15–19 and supporting the long-term development of audiences for European cinema. Michal Brenner will introduce the project’s approach, which connects film education, research and advocacy, with the aim of helping young people become conscious, critical and culturally engaged audiences. He will also explore how the project supports educators and cultural institutions through tested and transferable methodologies, and how the data and tools being developed can contribute to working with young audiences as well as to shaping cultural and educational policy.

Michal Brenner is the project manager of the international Audiovisual Connect LAB project. He previously led SHAPE/SHAPE+, a pan-European platform supporting the careers of musicians, and spent four years promoting Czech culture in Stockholm as part of the Czech Centres network.
