Workshop: DJ Curator

The workshop entitled DJ Curator aims to familiarize you with the role of the curator in contemporary art and highlight the importance of selection and choice.

Against the backdrop of the exhibition David Lynch: Up in Flames, you will experience how important "selection" is in the art world. To select means to choose, to decide, to definitively determine, which are essential skills not only for the art world, but also for life in today's world, which is oversaturated with visual stimuli.

The curator is a guide who tries to help us find our way. His choices and selections limit us, but at the same time push us forward. It is the curator who has the final say, who presents art to the public, seeks out artists, or reflects on art and passes on his understanding to others, much like a DJ does with music.
