About Krutón association
KRUTÓN was founded in 2015 as an initiative of Filip Kršiak, Tereza Bonaventurová, and Pepa Vičar with the aim of developing creativity and critical thinking in children and young people through film. From small workshops and the Krutónpolis pop-up space, the association has gradually developed into an open platform that connects education, culture, research, and practice. We created the Young Film Fest and ELBE DOCK festivals, which we merged into the BOO International Film Festival in 2025. We operate the boutique Kino Kavalírka cinema and participate in European projects and systemic changes in the field of audiovisual and film education. Today, KRUTÓN is made up of a team of experts and collaborators from the Czech Republic and Europe, and we continue to seek new ways to strengthen film literacy and open up audiovisual media to children, students, educators, and the wider public—always with dedication and passion for the cause.
